By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Service Description

CalmHarbour provides professional makeup artistry services for various occasions including but not limited to weddings, special events, photoshoots, and personal makeup consultations. Our services may include:

  • Bridal makeup
  • Special event makeup
  • Editorial and photoshoot makeup
  • Personal makeup lessons
  • Age-embracing makeup

The specific details, scope, and pricing of services will be agreed upon at the time of booking and confirmed in writing.

3. Website Use

3.1 Content

All content on the CalmHarbour website, including text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software, is the property of CalmHarbour or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws. The compilation of all content on this site is the exclusive property of CalmHarbour and is protected by international copyright laws.

3.2 License and Website Access

CalmHarbour grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of this website. This license does not include any resale or commercial use of this website or its contents; any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions, or prices; any derivative use of this website or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.

3.3 User Account

If you create an account on the website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.

4. Booking and Appointments

4.1 Booking Process

All service bookings must be made through our website, by email, phone, or in person. A booking is not confirmed until you receive a written confirmation from us and the required deposit has been paid.

4.2 Deposits

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings. The deposit will be applied toward the total cost of services. The remaining balance is due on the day of service or as specified in your booking agreement.

4.3 Trials

For bridal services, we strongly recommend scheduling a trial appointment 1-3 months before your wedding date. Trial appointments are charged separately and are not included in the wedding day service price unless specifically stated in a package description.

4.4 Minimum Booking Requirements

For group services, a minimum booking requirement may apply. This will be communicated at the time of inquiry.

5. Rescheduling and Cancellations

5.1 Client Cancellations

If you need to cancel your appointment, the following terms apply:

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days before the scheduled appointment date: The deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred to a new appointment date within 6 months, subject to availability.
  • Cancellations made 14-30 days before the scheduled appointment date: The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. No additional fees will be charged.
  • Cancellations made less than 14 days before the scheduled appointment date: The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable, and 75% of the remaining balance will be due.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment: Full payment is required.

5.2 Rescheduling

Requests to reschedule must be made in writing. Rescheduling is subject to availability and the following terms:

  • Rescheduling more than 30 days before the scheduled appointment: One complimentary reschedule is permitted. Additional rescheduling requests will incur a £25 administration fee.
  • Rescheduling 14-30 days before the scheduled appointment: A £25 rescheduling fee will apply.
  • Rescheduling less than 14 days before the scheduled appointment: A 25% rescheduling fee (based on the total service cost) will apply.
  • Rescheduling less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment: Treated as a cancellation; the original deposit is forfeited, and a new deposit will be required for the new appointment date.

5.3 CalmHarbour Cancellations

In the unlikely event that CalmHarbour must cancel an appointment due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, we will:

  • Make every effort to find a suitable replacement artist of similar skill level.
  • If no replacement is available and services cannot be provided, a full refund of any payments made will be issued.
  • Assist in finding an alternative makeup artist from our network of professionals.

6. Service Expectations and Client Responsibilities

6.1 Preparation

To ensure the best results, clients should:

  • Arrive with clean, moisturized skin (unless otherwise instructed).
  • Inform us of any allergies, sensitivities, or skin conditions in advance.
  • Provide reference images or inspirations if desired.
  • Be on time for appointments. Late arrivals may result in abbreviated service time.

6.2 Group Appointments

For wedding parties or group bookings:

  • A schedule will be provided in advance indicating the order and timing of services.
  • All individuals receiving services must be available at their scheduled time.
  • Changes to the number of people receiving services must be communicated at least 14 days in advance.

6.3 Health and Safety

CalmHarbour maintains strict hygiene protocols. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone with contagious skin conditions, infections, or illnesses for the safety of our staff and other clients.

7. Pricing and Payment

7.1 Service Rates

Prices for services are as listed on our website or as quoted at the time of booking. Prices are subject to change, but once a booking is confirmed, the quoted price will be honored.

7.2 Additional Fees

Additional fees may apply for:

  • Travel beyond 15 miles of Lake Vicky, BL7 8BW.
  • Services requested outside of normal business hours (before 7:00 AM or after 7:00 PM).
  • Added services or people not included in the original booking.
  • Excessive waiting time due to client delays.

7.3 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit and debit cards
  • Bank transfers
  • Cash (for in-person payments)

All payments must be made in GBP (British Pounds).

8. Photos and Publicity

8.1 Photo Consent

Unless you explicitly opt out in writing, you grant CalmHarbour permission to take photos of your makeup application and the finished look for our portfolio, social media, and marketing materials. Your personal information will not be shared with these images without explicit consent.

8.2 Photo Credit

If professional photos featuring our makeup work are shared on social media or with publications, we kindly request credit be given to CalmHarbour. Similarly, we will credit photographers, stylists, and other collaborators when sharing images from professional sessions.

9. Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are available for purchase and are subject to the following terms:

  • Gift certificates are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • Gift certificates are non-refundable but are transferable.
  • Gift certificates must be presented at the time of service (digital or physical).
  • Lost or stolen gift certificates will not be replaced.

10. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the CalmHarbour website and services, including designs, text, graphics, logos, images, and content, are owned by CalmHarbour or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, broadcast, transmit, or otherwise use any such material for any purpose without prior written consent from CalmHarbour.

11. Limitation of Liability

CalmHarbour shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use our services or website. In no event shall our total liability to you for all damages, losses, and causes of action exceed the amount paid by you to CalmHarbour for the services in question.

While we take every precaution to use high-quality products and hygienic practices, we cannot be held responsible for allergic reactions or skin irritations that may occur. It is the client's responsibility to inform us of any known allergies or sensitivities.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

13. Changes to Terms

CalmHarbour reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
